Finding a Wordpress theme is not an easy thing to do. There are literally thousands of themes out to choose from and it’s probably not wise to browse through all of them trying to find a theme. Instead, there are several things we can do to narrow down our search.

First, recall day 2 and go over what our blog will be about. With this in mind, think about the mood we want our readers to have and the impression we want to make. If we’re going to blog about gaming, you’re most likely interested in gaming themes. In any case, many themes follow the same two or three column style which means we don’t have to worry about not hitting the jackpot on our lucky theme if we don’t browse all of them. Instead, choose one whose style you like. By style I mean the menu, size of the header, columns, font-sizes, and so forth. Colors and images are not important at that point because they can easily be changed to suit you better.

Some bloggers (those with a budget) will prefer to forge out a couple hundred bucks to have a custom theme built for them. This is also a good idea as it will give your blog uniqueness and make it stand apart from other blogs. All in all, choose a theme that will fit to your liking either by getting them online through the Wordpress Theme Directory or order a custom one in order to stand out from the crowd.
