Unless you’re getting at least 30,000 unique visitors a month, it will probably be pretty difficult for you to make money through advertising programs such as Google Adsense, Adbrite, etc. I’ve been in that situation and the most annoying question that always bugged me was how in the world do I make visitors come to your blog or site? Sure, I SEO’d my sites to the best of my knowledge, advertised, but it is still not enough.

There are hundreds of ebooks out there discussing how to monetize your site, get traffic, and so forth, but for the most part they’re full of junk that doesn’t help. Then it hit me. Those guys don’t make money from the methods they write in their books! They make money from selling that junk!!

So my advice is, if you do not have enough traffic to get those promised Adsense riches, just write an ebook. Market it on forums, blogs, eBay, and any other marketplace you can imagine. Be sure to include your site or blog which will benefit you in the way that you’ll receive traffic, and as a bonus, you’ll be making money from your ebook!
